Wii Sports Resort is the number one game in the UK for the second week in a row, as sales rose 6 percent from its debut week; Wii Fit jumps back up to the number two spot, Chart-Track said Monday.

Wii Sports Resort captured the top spot in the UK for the second week in a row, as sales rose from the game’s debut week, research firm Chart-Track said Monday.

For the week ended August 1 on Chart-Track’s all-platform charts, which includes unit sales of all versions of any given title, the Wii MotionPlus-enabled game rose 6 percent week-on-week. It’s a notable feat, as Chart-Track said last week that the launch of Wii Sports Resort marked the fourth-biggest week for a Wii title, behind Nintendo’s Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii, and Sega and Nintendo’s Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.

Nintendo’s evergreen Wii Fit made the second slot for the week, jumping from number four on the all-platform charts from a week prior, while EA Sports’ Tiger Woods held the number three spot from the previous week. I dont know but the rest of the the globe is getting leaner and skinnier by the minute. Dreaming of a time when my waistline will have a similar outcome, I instantly made a realization that as technology advances increasingly, devices tend to get lighter and tiny as well. People gradually turned crazy about stuff that will make them thinner and lighter. Different drugs are being manufactured to help fat people to accomplish this. Even previous game consoles like the Playstation 3 that are big are becoming skinnier with each new version.

So what’s in a size? Does size truly count? Well, we cannot deny the truth that virtually all individuals find bulky things kind of pesky. It is a burden to carry. Not only will it take up so much space but so much energy will be used as well. Thus for nearly all people, size is a huge factor. Just think of it this way: Imagine if there are no portable music players around and you want to take your whole music collection with you to listen to while you travel, in the old days individuals would carry large boom boxes with them but nowadays people would think your 1 huge lunatic. No doubt having huge devices on public transportation would be a tiresome task. Or when you want to catch video recordings during your journeys, surely you do not wanna drag around a large camera like what they employ to take movies. Not only will it be very inconvenient but expensive for you in the sense that you have to pay additional for the space these big items may take up.  Read more...

A few months ago a friend entered my apartment to announce that he has decided to perform a very important investment for our future in entertainment. Frankly, I could not believe my ears. I have never played PlayStation in the past and the last video game I have played with my friends when I was still a kid, was an old version of Atari. The PlayStation or the Xbox: which will win? It is one of the greatest rivalries of the gaming world, and the latest round – Playstation 3 vs. Xbox 360 – will soon be upon us. The PlayStation 3 will start launching this November nationally at US territories and some other countries, some months after the Xbox. The advantage on that front goes to the Xbox.

But the PlayStation 3 has a lot going for it, and the buzz it has been building up is outstanding. Sony is already shipping hundreds of thousands of units – an initial release of 400,000, with more than twice that number by the end of the year. It is very likely that all of these will sell out, as everybody scrambles to see what they can do with the PlayStation 3.
